Initiative for Genuine Involvement, Transparency and Empowerment (IGNITE) and Practice of Administrative Leadership and Service (PALS) face off once again in their electoral bid for the National College of Public Administration and Governance (NCPAG) Student Council this upcoming local council elections on April 21.
PALS is set to launch their campaign with a complete slate, fielding a total of 15 candidates while IGNITE fields a total of 11 candidates, according to the official list of candidates released by the NCPAG Student Council Electoral Board on April 4.
Standard bearers Tiffany-Anne Uy, an incumbent councilor and Nathalie Gabrielle Tatualla of IGNITE are set to vie for the position of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, respectively against PALS standard bearers Jameson Austria, incumbent Junior Batch Rep alongside Arianne Rose Agustin.
On the other hand, Ivan Paolo Evangelista of IGNITE and Nicole Anne Kahn Parreño of PALS will be competing for the position of NCPAG Rep to the USC this year.
From 2012 to 2015, IGNITE has maintained its hold over the NCPAG Student Council with the last year’s slate securing 12 out of 14 seats in the local council elections.
